Hall Facilities & Functions

The venue is primarily a Masonic Lodge meeting venue, but it also available for a range of function's and activity's throughout the year, these include; wedding's, conference's, corporate seminar's or function's, office, Christmas party's and after funeral function's.

The Manager, Sue, and her staff are very helpful and friendly. Sue maintains a very good selection of drinks at the bar, various beer's, lager's, spirit's and soft drink's. Coffee and tea's are also available.

The catering side of the hall can provide an informal buffet right the way up to a several course silver service function meal.

We have facilities for disabled person's, an entrance ramp, a designated disabled W.C., we also have an onsite wheelchair for use by anyone requiring it.

During the month of December there are several Sunday Christmas lunch's served (pre-booking required)

the amount Sundays involved is dependant on demand.

There is normally a local Brass Band present on these occasions playing festive music, Christmas carol's etc,

singing along with the music is encouraged.

Generally the hall is visited by Father Christmas, so children are welcomed, therefore pre-booking is essential.

 

The Kitchen Area

The kitchen is part of the Masonic Hall, but not part of our business.

The responsibility for the kitchen is "Bairds Caterers".

In the interest of Health & Safety "outside" caterers/chefs or the public are not allowed into the kitchen,

so please do NOT ask to use the kitchen as "THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE" often offends.

Welcome to Bairds Caterers.

Baird’s caterers have over forty years experience in the catering industry. We are the official caterers at Upminster and Thurrock Masonic Halls and we are able to offer that experience at other venues whether it is for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, christenings etc.

You will find in the following pages some menu suggestions; of course you can mix and match these as required. We are able to cater for all tastes vegetarians, vegans, gluten free and any other dietary needs. If you feel that none of the suggestions put forward meets your requirements, we are happy to discuss those requirements. Just phone for an appointment and we will be pleased to meet with you.

Our aim is to please, we are pleased to serve and serve to please.

Baird’s caterers are privileged to have had your inquiry we are able to offer the hire of the venues mentioned above.

THURROCK MASONIC CENTRE.

(Catering office: 01375 382434 information & bookings 01375 375695)

Has also two rooms available for hire, the large room 60 – 200 for a sit down function and buffets (this room can be sectioned off for smaller functions.) this room has a stage area. It also has a large bar area to service this room.

Smaller room 30 –50 people.

Both centres offer excellent off road parking, with easy access from the M25. A127 and A13 and can cater for most requirements, conferences, Rotary, Probus and Round Table clubs.

Baird’s caterers are able to offer a complete service, cars, celebration cakes, toastmaster, photographer, music live/disco, flowers, balloons, and children’s entertainer.

At Baird’s caterers we only employ qualified staff and use fresh ingredients bought from reputable suppliers were possible all preparation and cooking is carried out onsite. We take every possible precaution not use any G.M products and are fully aware of any allergies regarding nuts etc. (all information can be confirmed when booking.)
